You are aware of our commitment to children and the importance we place on this most precious resource of our country. With the kids in mind, we are convinced that all of us can make an investment in the future of this country through Youth Community Development Programs. These kids will lead America into the next century. We believe every child is entitled to an educational experience that combines scholarly inquiry, technical skill development and discovery.

We are firmly committed to the following programs:

Outdoor Education Foundation

The Outdoor Education Foundation is helping San Diego students get outside and experience nature. Many have never seen the wilderness in person before. They are helping students experience life unplugged: camping, hiking, science, and more, on 24,000 acres and 100 miles of trails.

The Music Machine and Bonita Vista Vocal Music Department

The Music Machine is a nationally ranked mixed show choir featuring singing, dancing, and acting. "The Machine" has continually set the standard by which other high school show choirs are measured. This show choir has embarked upon a cultural exchange program that is unparalleled. Internationally known, The Music Machine has thrilled audiences with their singing and dancing in 13 countries on 4 continents! They represent this country as ambassadors of "what's right with American Youth".

Of the 16,000 high schools in the United States, The Music Machine is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the nation, receiving over 350 awards in competition!

Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys and Girls Clubs calls itself "A Positive Place for Kids". The Clubs are places where children can learn and play in a safe supervised environment. For so many children, the Clubs are the only alternative to the streets where drugs, crime, and poverty are everyday facts of life.

The Clubs provide programs for youths ages six to seventeen. Annually, the Clubs serve over 5,000 boys and girls through youth programs such as: tutoring and homework assistance, crafts classes, dance groups, team sports, swimming, self-esteem workshops, leadership programs, neighborhood clean-up projects, and cultural, recreational, and educational trips.

Gratitude Initiative

The Gratitude Initiative (GI) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit that
works with children of military service members and veterans including
those wounded or killed in combat. GI supports America's military
families at no cost to them by providing funds and critical programs
that are proven to put young people on the path to educational and
career success.
